Online Accounts & Databases - Registration Instructions

Members of the Mercer Law community have access to a variety of online legal databases. These databases are used for legal research, study aids, and more. To access these materials, users are responsible for setting up their own accounts. When setting up your accounts, you MUST use your Mercer Law email address to gain access.

If you need assistance with any of these resources, please contact your Introduction to Legal Research (ILR) professor or email reference@law.mercer.edu.

Aspen Learning Library

  • Your Aspen Learning Library account will be created automatically for you.
  • Your username will be the first part of your email [e.g., jdoe26 for jdoe26@law.mercer.edu]. Your initial password will be MercerLaw2026. During your initial login, you should change this password to a personal password of your choosing.
  • When you are on the Mercer Law network (in the building or via VPN), you will be able to access titles without logging in to Aspen.
  • To save for offline viewing, to tag or highlight, or use any customized features, you will need to log in to your personal account.

Bloomberg Law

  • In your welcome packet, you should have received a customized activation code to allow you to set up your Bloomberg Law account.
  • Use the Bloomberg link and provided activation code to set up your own account.
  • Bloomberg questions should be directed to help@bloomberglaw.com or 888-560-2529.

CALI

  • In the top right-hand corner of the CALI website, click on the blue "Register" button.
  • Use your Mercer Law email to set up an account.
  • The authorization code for Mercer Law students is MERCERstu125

Lexis +

  • Go to LexisNexis for Law Schools 
  • Click on "Register for Lexis+" to create an account.
  • The Mercer University School of Law code is mj5h9ge.

Lexis+ questions should be directed to Matthew Chick at matthew.chick@lexisnexis.com. The 24/7 Lexis+ customer service line can be reached at 800-455-3947

Lexis Digital Library

  • Your Lexis Digital Library account should already be created for you.
  • The Lexis Digital Library can be accessed using (1) your student email as the ID and (2) your last name (with the first letter capitalized) as the password.

Procertas

  • You will receive an email directly from Procertas with information about your credentials.
  • Click on the provided link in your email to complete the registration process.
  • Support and Training

West Academic Library

  • You can self-register at West Academic Study Aids
  • Create an individual account to create your own library, use bookmarks, and access the audio books
    • Go to West Study Aids, in upper right click "Create an Account" (or "Sign in" if you already have one). 
    • Mobile App
      • You need an individual account to use the app.
      • Most of the titles have a check box for "Listen Offline". You can select up to 30 titles for download.
      • Click the icons for instructions on downloading and using the app

Westlaw Precision

  • Westlaw credentials require an individual key. These will be created for you and will be emailed directly from Westlaw to your law school email account. You will need to use the link in the email to complete the registration process.
