Mercer University Libraries/Tarver Library

You also have access to Mercer University Libraries, also called the Tarver Library. If you have a resource need from Tarver’s collection, let us know. Those items can be requested, and you will receive them via your law school mailbox. 

Media Access

If you have a need for media, Tarver has these services:

  • Academic Video Online (AVON) 
    • Multidisciplinary video including documentaries, interviews, feature films, performances, news programs and newsreels, and demonstrations.
  • Films On Demand 
    • Films On Demand is a streaming video collection of almost 30,000 educational titles in dozens of subject areas. Producers include Films for the Humanities and Sciences, PBS, A&E, History, ABCNews, BBC, NBC News, Shopware, Biography, National Geographic, and others.
  • Kanopy Video Streaming 
    • Kanopy is a video streaming solution for colleges offering a "Netflix-like" user experience and a broad selection of documentaries, feature films and training videos from thousands of producers. Touching on all topics, featured producers in Kanopy's collection include Criterion Collection, PBS, HBO, The Video Project, New Day Films, The Great Courses, California Newsreel, Kino Lorber, Media Education Foundation, First Run Features, BBC, and many more. Films can be watched from anywhere, anytime by all staff and students.

  • After creating your account, use My Law.com to personalize and refine your newsfeed.
  • A feature of your account is Radar which includes expert summaries on new cases, easy access to complaint documents, and search and alert optins. 
  • Use the Education Center for introductory and how-to micro-videos that show how to navigate, fine-tune, and personalize your account.
