The Legal Writing Institute, the Clinical Legal Education Association, and virtual host Mercer University School of Law welcome you to the Eighth Biennial Applied Legal Storytelling Conference.
We are excited about this year’s presentations. Whatever your interests, you’ll find something to enrich your teaching, scholarship, or legal practice. You’ll be engaged, challenged, and, we hope, delighted. Attend every day! On Wednesday, July 14, the opening plenary includes an all-star panel of founding members and more recent scholars, discussing the origins of the Applied Legal Storytelling movement and where the field might go from here. From there, the offerings will continue to be stimulating and thought-provoking all the way through Friday’s final sessions.
But the conference is about more than the presentations. It’s also about relationships. This year’s virtual conference includes many opportunities to reunite with old friends and make new ones: daily coffee hours, the opening reception, speed mentoring, a conference book group, and the closing reception will allow us to build community and collaborate informally.
Thank you to the many conference sponsors, all of which are acknowledged on this website. Your support of the legal writing and clinical education communities, and your commitment to this conference, inspire us.
