MULLing it Over

Crafts in the afternoon? Absolutely!

Recently, a Law Librarian blog went around touting the idea of library "Crafternoons" focused on student wellness. Student wellness has been on our minds at Mercer Law Library, too. Our new collection of wellness and practice support titles, as well as flexible seating and a new assortment of games and recreational activities, are now available in the professional development and wellness alcove near the Georgia side of the library. So, Crafternoons seem right in line with the space the Mercer Law Library is trying to create for our students. Law school is tough. It requires focus and unrelenting mental dedication. Still, it is important to take time to unwind and do something outside your academic endeavors. So grab some yarn or googly eyes or paints or whatever and settle in for craft time!

Starting March 16th, the Mercer Law Library is going to have Crafternoons outside the Lawyers Reading Room [back right corner of the main sitting area of the library]. Crafternoons will be open from 2-4PM and folks can stop by any time during that window. These sessions will be informal craft opportunities. Attendees can bring their own crafts, but the library will always have a focused craft and some supplies.

Craft suggestions or themes can be submitted to Prof. Newman or Prof. Dewey. Happy crafting!
